Yes! The long wait is finally over!!

CASS’ GOT TALENT is here at last! This year, we have added something new. Not just showcasting your singing talent but you can also showcast other talents, such as dancing, acting, etc.

So, make your way down to the yellow tables located just outside foodcourt 6 this week (till 7 July 2009) from 9am-5pm to register!

RULES AND REGULATIONS

CASS’ Got Talent is a talent-scout competition organised by the School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences Club.  The following rules and regulations will apply to all contestants.

 On the submission of the entry form, contestants consent and agree to, abide by and will be bound by the rules and regulations.

  1. The competition is open to all students from the School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences. Contestants will produce their student cards for verification purposes when the organiser requests so.
  2. Contestants will be free to define what constitutes “talent” but the organiser reserves the right to disqualify any contestant whose performance is deemed insensitive or inappropriate.
  3. Contestants will not infringe any copyright or defame or embarrass any person.
  4. The categories of the competition are as follows:Category 1: Singing (Solo)Category 2: Singing (Group)
    (including bands)

    Category 3: Other talents (Solo)

    Category 4: Other talents (Group)

  6. Separate prizes will be given to winners of each category. The organiser will decide on the number of winners in each category.
  7. Only the top two winners of Category 1 will qualify to participate in the campus-wide SP Talentime in November 2009.
  8. Contestants who wish to sing will choose only English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil songs.  
  9. Those who wish to enter the competition will have to visit the CASS’GOT TALENT booth located outside Food Court 6 from 29 June 2009 to 3 July 2009.
  10. The deadline for registration is 3 July 2009, 1700 hours.
  11. There is a registration fee of $3 per person per category. Registration fees are non-refundable.
  12. The contestants understand and accept that information supplied by them as well as photographic and video images taken of them during the competition may be used by Singapore Polytechnic for promotion, marketing, publicity or obtaining sponsorship of the competition. Contestants also consent to the disclosure of the above to third parties, including but not limited to the media, judges, sponsors and the public.
  13. CASS Club has the sole and absolute discretion to select and determine the number of judges at all stages of the competition. The judges’ decisions shall be final and no enquiries, appeals, verbal or written, shall be entertained.
  14.  CASS Club reserves the right at any time to determine how the competition will be conducted, including the number of contestants in all stages of the competition.
  15. CASS Club reserves the right to add, delete, and/or alter the prizes offered for this competition.
  16. CASS Club shall not be liable to the contestants for any loss, damage or injury to their person or property during or in connection with the event.
  17. CASS Club reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without prior notice.
  18. Contestants who do not comply with any of the rules and regulations will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
