Pardon the lack of publicity of the aforementioned CASS Tee Logo Design Competition. There has been last minute changes and we’d decided to scrape the polling contest.
Here’s the winning logo!
Green may not be the color of the actual tee. Subject to prior discussions within the committee.

What You Should Know For Now-
- CASS Talentime Finals would be held on 20th October, 5pm to 7+pm. A mystery organisation could be attending to grace and capture the 1st ever CASS mega event. More would be revealed closer to the date. Goodie Bags and buffet provided! Keep that time slot free! Admission’s free, unlike other Schools!
- Sports Day 2008’s coming up! It’s gonna be split into two days- 5th and 12 November 2008. We are currently looking for participants and cheering teams! Give us your contacts asap to secure a space in whichever area you are interested in! All attendees would be awarded CCA points! Yes, its as simple as that! What to expect? Mascot races.. Our mascot happens to be an ostrich. Don’t ask me why.
- Dinner and Dance for graduating batch. Its either going to be a DMC year 3 only function or a merger with SB. Currently undergoing intense discussions.
- Year Book. Undergoing mental make-overs to make it different from other Schools’. Searching for sponsors and wicked venues within the school to have the shoots.

CASS Tee Logo Design Competition 2008/9
What’s this about?
CASS Club would like to invite YOU to participate in this CASS Tee Logo Design Competition 08.
The winning design would be used on CASS tees and et cetera.
Submission Date: by 15 September 2008
What happens after that?
The logos would be placed on this blog for polling. Final logo would be selected based on the voting results as well as the CASS committee’s.
Why should you join?
- CCA point(s) would be awarded to the creator of the selected logo
- To add to your portfolio (especially you are into design)
- Exercise your creativity and demonstrate your flair in designing to us
- If you want to feel proud of something (when people’s wearing your design on their backs)
- To improve your conceptualization and Photoshop skills
Who should join?
This competition is open to everyone, regardless of age, school, gender, nationality, status, occupation… (you get the idea)
Winners would be notified by email or sms.
Format of Logo:
Please include the words ‘CASS Club’ in your design.
Please restrict yourselves to a maximum of three colors in your logo.
Please design against a black AND white background.
How and What to submit?
Simply email the TWO files (against black and white backgrounds) to cassclub@hotmail.com or cassclub.sp@gmail.com by 15 September in jpeg format. It must have a clear resolution.
The winner would be asked to send us the logo in Photoshop format after the competition.

CASS Talentime Audition (2nd Round)

The number of participants was overwhelming and the first round of CASS Talentime audition went quite well indeed.
A hearty thank you to our two super duper [insert any nice words] judges as well as our dearest organisers for overseeing this event. We know you guys are tired, so heres a virtual hug from me!
Of course, THANK YOU to those who had signed up for this event. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
The first group of people who had successfully passed the first audition has already been contacted. Buy more herbal drinks for your next round which will be held on 30th July, CASS studio, 3-5.30pm!
As for the others, don’t be too disappointed. There will be other events coming up that you absolutely MUST join! After all, not everyone has talent in the same place. Take me for example, i can’t sing for nuts.

There has been several changes in CASS Club’s organisational structure due to unforeseen circumstances.
Congratulations to Lin Yan Xiang (DMC/3A/02), Quek Ming Jie (DMC/1A/03) and Shel Toh Ting Ting (DMC/2A/01) on their new appointments as CASS new president, Publicity Comm secretary and Publicity Comm Head respectively.
Let’s work together and build up this club!

CASS Talentime 2008

HEY Guys!
Now there is no need for you to sing secretly in your bathroom!
Stroll past the booth outside Foodcourt 6 from now till 11th during your lunch break and grab a registration form (cool design!) from our friendly (and wild) organisers to participate in Talentime!
Registration fees:
Solo- $3
Duet- $5
Rope in a friend to join you if you are the shy type. Open your golden mouth and give it a shot! Attractive prizes for the top 3 winners/groups. And yes, we are thinking of expensivvvve chic tech stuff to give away. *winks* Audition will be held some time next sem. More details will be put up at a later date.
For those who’d already signed up, kudos to you for making the right choice. Remember to drink more liang teh at the meantime!

CASS 1st AGM 2008

A very BIG THANK YOU to those who came for our 1st AGM yesterday!
I must admit that the food we got was not much as compared to EEE’s.
Not to worry. We will definitely improve on that when we have a larger budget allocation for that and CASS membership strength!
The photos that id taken could not be uploaded for you guys to enjoy this time due to some weird techie problem with this wordpress.
Speaking of wordpress, i have received some feedback regarding the fact that it is cumbersome to sign up for an account just to comment on this blog. (No wonder Matt, our Sports Head is the only one commenting here. =X) Unfortunately, there is no radio button for me to click to change the format.
So, i would really appreciate it if you could help me with this. Do you guys think there is a need to switch to another domain?
Firstly, i chose wordpress because of several benefits:
a) I can see the number of hits. its automatic. i do not need to copy and paste the code into any templates like blogspot.
b) I can see the statistical reports of blog views as well as how people get to know about this blog (whether they click any link to get here)
c) wordpress sounds more professional and corporate. There are such assumptions that blogspot is for private and social diaries, livejournal for e-shopping, and such.
d) Im a noob at D.I.Y stuff so wordpress is simpler and more user-friendly to me. Unless anyone wants to volunteer to help create a template for another domain?
So what say you?
